HOW WE STARTED

Crystal Ministries, formerly known as Crystal Foundation, was established in the North West region of Cameroon by Rosine N. Makanaky. Rosine’s personal journey with severe Nystagmus and Optical Nerve Atrophy inspired her to defy the doctors’ advice against investing in her education due to the belief that she would lose her vision. Supported by her unwavering mother and auntie, Elisabeth, Rosine overcame these challenges, retained her sight, and received an excellent education. Motivated by her experience, Rosine initiated this endeavor to give back to children with special needs who lack the support she received. In her own words, she frequently emphasizes that “THERE IS NOTHING TOO HARD FOR GOD TO DO.” Today, this initiative has evolved to not only support children with special needs but also to transform lives and communities with the word of God throughout Cameroon. Constance Vega, Rosine’s mother, continues to advance this vision as the director, while Rosine actively serves as a board member.
